[ARCHIVED] Public Meeting - Federal Transportation Planning

Federal Transportation Planning Review Public Meeting

Please join us on July 26 for a public presentation and meeting to discuss the transportation planning process in York County.

Every four years, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) are required to conduct a review of federally designated Transportation Management Areas (TMA). A TMA is an area with an urbanized area population over 200,000. The primary purpose of the certification review is to evaluate York Area Metropolitan Planning Organization’s (YAMPO) compliance with Federal regulations. 

The Federal Team (FHWA and FTA) will hold a public meeting as a component of the Federal review of the transportation planning process conducted by YAMPO, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Susquehanna Regional Transportation Authority, and local governments in York County to assess compliance with Federal regulations. The public is encouraged to participate in the Federal transportation planning review and express their thoughts and comments on community transportation issues. 

Please share your views with FHWA Pennsylvania Division and FTA Region III at a public presentation to discuss the transportation planning process in York County, Pennsylvania.
