Unified Planning Work Program

The Unified Planning Work Program, or UPWP, identifies the planning efforts that are required through federal or state legislation, as well as efforts specific to York County. All the planning work identified in the UPWP is geared to provide the decision makers on the York Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (YAMPO) better information as they make decisions concerning the transportation infrastructure in York County.

Updates

The UPWP is essentially, 2 one-year work plans. Each year begins on July 1. The funding for the work pram is generally funded from Federal Highway, Federal Transit, State Motor License Funds and County Liquid Fuels funding. 

2022 - 2024

The York Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (YAMPO) adopted the 2022-2024 UPWP on January 27, 2022. The 2022-2024 UPWP will be in affect on July 1, 2022 and will expired on June 30, 2024.

2020 - 2022

The 2020-2022 UPWP was adopted by YAMPO on February 27, 2000. The 2020-2022 UPWP went into effect on July 1, 2020 and will expire on June 30, 2022.
