Program Description
The Continuum of Care (CoC) is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. In York County, the planning body associated with these funds is called the York County Coalition on Homelessness. This funding resource provides housing resources for homeless individuals and families in our community. The York County Planning Commission acts as the Lead Agency for the submission of grant requests for funding through the CoC process. This grant process is an annual process, typically occurring between May to September each year.
Eligibility
For households seeking assistance, you must be homeless by the federal definition (on the streets, in an emergency shelter, or in a place not meant for human habitation) to qualify for resources. Please note that this office does not provide direct assistance. This office funds community organizations to provide help. Providers interested in applying to provide direct service with CoC resources should email the Chief of Programs Management and Compliance to discuss the process.
