Coalition Funding Process
The York County Coalition on Homelessness (PA-512, York City/County CoC) funding process is directed through the Coalition, as well as the York County Planning Commission (YCPC). The funding process is dependent upon open and close dates for applications that are produced by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Application Process
Typically, the application process occurs in the Summer, with funding being awarded in the Winter. Projects must meet the specifications of housing and project types set forth by HUD through the HEARTH Act, as well as local specialized priorities which are set by the Coalition. Projects that apply for this funding stream must be reviewed, scored, ranked and approved by a sub-committee of the Coalition.
The Coalition welcomes and encourages applications by organizations that have not previously received Continuum of Care funding from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD). The Coalition provides assistance working through the application process and all the way to full implementation of your project. A rising tide lifts all boats, and we are here to support you as you learn this new funding stream.
The FY 2021 Continuum of Care Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) opened on August 18, 2021. This NOFO is due November 16, 2021 at 8:00 p.m. EST.
Local Competition 30 Day Deadline: Projects must be received by the lead agency at least 30 days prior to the close of the application. This year that date is: October 16, 2021
Notification of Projects Accepted/Rejected/Reduced 15 Day Deadline: Projects must be reviewed, accepted, rejected, or reduced by the Coalition, and all applicants must be notified of their project's status at least 15 days prior to the close of the application. This year that date is: November 1, 2021
