CoC Notice of Funding Availability
The Continuum of Care funding process is directed through the CoC Committee, as well as the York County Planning Commission (YCPC). The funding process is dependent upon open and close dates for applications that are produced by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Application Process
Typically, the application process occurs in the Summer, with funding being awarded in the Winter. Projects must meet the specifications of housing and project types set forth by HUD through the HEARTH Act, as well as local specialized priorities which are set by the CoC Committee. Projects that apply for this funding stream must be reviewed, scored, ranked and approved by a sub-committee of the CoC Committee.
The FY 2019 Continuum of Care (CoC) Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) is open from July 3, 2019 through September 30, 2019.
Local Competition 30 Day Deadline: CoC projects must be received by the lead agency at least 30 days prior to the close of the application. This year that date is: August 31, 2019.
Notification of Projects Accepted/Rejected/Reduced 15 Day Deadline: CoC projects must be reviewed, accepted, rejected, or reduced by the CoC, and all applicants must be notified of their project's status at least 15 days prior to the close of the application. This year that date is: September 15, 2019.
Other Important FY 2019 CoC Deadlines can be found in the FY 2019 CoC NOFA Schedule listed below.
